There’s nothing like seeing friends get married, and it’s even more incredible for us to be able to document their wedding days. It wasn’t too long ago we first met Emily and Sam (Sam, being an amazing cook, made dinner for us!). When we walked into Emily’s parents’ Hudson Valley home for their intimate backyard Jewish ceremony with only the closest friends and family, we felt immediately at home and so welcomed by everyone. That was just the start of the incredible weekend. Emily and Sam had decided to have a Hammond Museum wedding, right on the pond, because the beautiful greenery, along with the sound of the frogs, just made the space feel incredibly alive.
A ridiculous heat wave had rolled through the day before, followed by some overnight showers, so by the time the wedding came, we had sun and blue skies without the 90 degree heat to go with. Frogs called throughout the ceremony, flowers were in bloom, and the stars were out in full force later at night. Silver Arrow Band kept the dancefloor crazy in the best way.
Also a huge thanks to Nisa Lee for running the show so smoothly!
