Courtney + Ben / New Years Eve Wedding in Salem

Just a few weeks ago, we spent an incredible day with two amazing people as we welcomed 2017. 2016 was …quite the year to say the least, and for good or for bad, we’re so excited for this upcoming year as we keep hitting the pavement as hard as we humanly can. This New Years Eve wedding in Salem was crazy. It was a full day of emotional moments, big laughs, and perhaps most importantly, so so much joy as two incredibly loving families came together. We could not think of a better way to ring in the New Year than to celebrate and document Courtney and Ben’s wedding day.

We’re always thankful when our couples trust us. We’re always willing to handle whatever our clients are willing to bear with in terms of the weather outside. Well, December 31st, 2016 just happened to be windy and blistering cold (especially for anyone in wedding clothes). Given the beautiful waterfront nearby, wedding portraits outdoors were a must, and everyone braved the low temperatures for those photos. It was amazing how effectively the group of family and wedding party worked with us to make those photos quickly (yet without rushing). Colonial Hall at Rockafellas has a beautiful brick path right outside, and after midnight came, Courtney and Ben happily joined us outside in the rain, in the freezing cold, to nail those last few dramatic night portraits with the street lamps to wrap up the night and kick off the new year. We also want to mention a special thanks to Frank and Jason for dishing out the right tunes to battle another party that was happening on the floor below, the entire night. This new years eve wedding crowd definitely beat out the other one in both energy and kickass dance moves.
