Katherine and Cal had their autumn engagement session a couple months back, and we were so excited to get back up there for the wedding. Cal’s an amazing wedding photographer in Toronto himself, so photographing his wedding was a mix of high stakes photographing an industry colleague and total creative freedom from a couple that knows how we work.
Brunch weddings are, well, freaking awesome. We’re not known to be morning people, but wedding adrenaline is stronger than any coffee. By the time the official wedding festivities were over, and we’d all had a fan-freaking-tastic wedding meal that included waffles and bacon, Katherine and Cal had time to watch a game and grab a drink at the bar to recharge for a crazy photo adventure in the afternoon. We wandered through King’s Mill Park right by the venue, where we played chicken with geese next to the water, then we headed over and literally hiked up High Park. Hangriness eventually kicked in for all of us, and we ended this most kickass wedding day with pizza and beers.
