Emily and Jason had an elegant Codman Estate wedding with a beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by an incredible reception in the Carriage House. Sure, that’s a nice little summary on a very surface level of this wedding, but that doesn’t even begin to describe how much we loved this day. Where to start?
There’s so much to say about Emily and Jason. At our first meeting last year, Emily had originally planned to be out of town, but at the last minute much to our excitement, she was able to make it. There’s something inherently likeable about these two we immediately noticed – we had so much in common. They’re foodies, as evidenced by their insanely delicious and creative wedding food by East Meets West Catering. They love their pets children (Maine Coons!). And perhaps best of all, they were just so easy going – we instantly got along. Also, Emily and Jason are expert cornhole players and league finalists. After a beautiful sunrise engagement session last fall, we just couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding.
The wedding itself was crazy good. The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony at the Historic New England Codman Estate, and the sun dropped to literally the most perfect level just in time for sunset portraits. Dinner was outdoors under an essentially DIY filament bulb-laden frame. Did we mention the food was incredible? There was an epic bridesmaids’ speech to the tune of Toto’s Africa with an expertly dropped Game of Thrones reference, and, well, Emily and Jason’s idea of a great weekend night is some intense ballroom dancing, so as you can imagine, they absolutely killed it on the dancefloor in the Carriage House. The Silver Arrow Band nailed it on the music. Emily and Jason had the most incredible group of family and friends, and they made us feel so welcome all day long.
It all circles back to how great Emily and Jason are to work with and spend time with, and we’re so excited to share their amazingly gorgeous and elegant Codman Estate wedding.
