Ying & Jeff / Spring Boston Engagement Portraits

Middlesex Fells Engagement Session Portraits (12)

Spring’s here!! These two awesome people drove all the way up from New York to hang out with us. Ok, maybe not just to hang out with us. We’d been trying to get this session scheduled for literally months, but with Ying and Jeff being a 4-hour drive away, and with the total unpredictability of Boston weather, we had to reschedule multiple times. We had originally aimed for sunrise, but the day before, the forecast suddenly predicted showers. We didn’t have much of a choice this time but to reschedule for the afternoon …with a completely cloudy forecast. As you can see, when we showed up, that clearly wasn’t the case – the Boston skies cleared right up and gave us some fantastic blue skies and gorgeous light to end the day!

Figuring out locations for engagement sessions around here is exciting for us. We always give our couples the option to pick a spot that’s meaningful for them, but when the task is in our hands, we either pick our favorite personal locations or somewhere we’ve never been, to give us an element of novelty. Along with Castle Island, Middlesex Fells is one of our absolute favorite places – we’ve spent many summer days just letting Annie run around off-leash through the woods. The reservation is huge, and every time we go, we find new nooks and crannies. Ying and Jeff were amazing to follow us through the trails along the water reservoir, and we had a great time just getting to know the two of them better before the big day later this year!
