Laura & Matt / Beautiful Wedding at the Willowdale Estate

Boston Willowdale Estate Wedding Photos (30)

It’s pretty amazing we got to kick off another wedding season at the Willowdale Estate – without 3 feet of snow everywhere this time around, the estate was vastly different. This wedding day had perfectly sunny weather, despite us having rainy days both before and after.

We met Laura and Matt just a few months earlier, and we had been itching, ready to photograph their wedding since meeting them. They’re sweet, they’re quirky, and their story is an amazing one, involving a dating website, a full inbox, and the luckiest $1 ever. From the moment we started chatting with the two of them, we knew that photographing them would be amazing. Their dynamic was so relaxed and comfortable, not only with each other, but also with us. When we showed up on the wedding day, this continued to be obvious. A big part of our job as wedding photographers involves putting couples at ease in front of the camera, so that we can get those real moments and interactions. Our clients typically aren’t famous people or models already used to having giant cameras and lenses pointed at them – we photograph regular people on one of the happiest days of their lives. With Laura and Matt, it took no effort at all. They’re just that comfortable with each other, and every moment just worked, with very little intervention from us.

No wedding is complete without supportive friends and family, and this wedding was definitely not lacking. We just couldn’t help but feel the love spending the day with these incredible people, and by the time the wedding started coming to an end, we almost didn’t want to leave.

Laura and Matt’s wedding was a perfect start to what’s shaping up to be an insane wedding season. We’re so freakin’ excited for all of our couples this year, so keep an eye on the blog for some wonderful things to come.

One last thing: we shot off a few rolls of film at this wedding in preparation for some really cool plans this year. We think the look is pretty distinct, but see if you can pick out the film from the digital!
