On the morning of New Year’s day, instead of sleeping off the previous night’s festivities, we woke at 5 am, drove an hour to the scenic overlook, and watched the first sunrise of the new year. We suspected there might be haze, but the thin sheet of it only added to the beauty of the sunrise. It was magical, but honestly, it was nothing compared to what happened next.
We were there not only to watch the sunrise but also to photograph Amit’s proposal to Ruchika. Posing as tourists, we watched (and documented!) as Amit brought out a specially commissioned advent calendar documenting special times in their relationship. When he got down on one knee and proposed, we could not stop smiling. We cannot think of a better way to start the new year! Congratulations to Amit and Ruchika!
